My girl lives in the states and me in canada, any advice how to get her up here through the red tape?

looking for someone with experience with canadian immigration who can share some thoughts or give some advice as to the best way to accomplish this. thxMy girl lives in the states and me in canada, any advice how to get her up here through the red tape?
Marry her and sponsor her for permanent residency, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/s鈥?/a> It will cost you around $1000 and take if you apply outland 3-9 months for her to get PR or inland 7 months for her to get a work permit and 1-2 years to get PR. Pro's and con's of each. With outland she will be living in the US until it goes through but you can still visit and she can still work (in the US). Inland, you will be together but she can't work in Canada and she can't very well leave Canada while her case is being processed or it will mess up her application.

If there is some reason why you don't want to marry her, she will have to try to get a job offer and temporary work permit while you make up your mind. How easy that is to get depends a lot on where you live and her skills. If her skills are in demand where you live, you are in luck.

You do not need to have specific income when you are only sponsoring a spouse.
