I just got myself a boyfriend. He was one of my best friends for a while and I really liked him and apparently he liked me too and asked me to be his girlfriend a few days ago and things seem kind of awkward. I will be 17 in a few months and he just turned 18. Neither of us has been in a relationship and I'm not quite sure on how things go. We haven't even held hands yet and I don't know if I should start things or let him. We don't really have money to go on dates, I am not allowed to date or have a boyfriend, and and to top it all off, my family thinks he is gay. It's quite and interesting story and I feel like a retard, but I am asking for help. anyone wanna give it a shot?Boyfriend help, guy or girl advice!?
JUST TELL YOUR FAMILY THAT HE IS NOT GAY
AND IF I WAS YOU I WOULD HELD HIS HAND FIRST IF BOTH OF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN IN A RELATIONSHIP IN YOUR LIVES.
YOU SHOULD LET HIM START THINGS WHEN YOU THINK THAT YOU BOTH FEEL READY TO.Boyfriend help, guy or girl advice!?
well after a while the awkwardness will go away the more and more you guys hang out and yeah you could try make the first move bc if he wasnt feeling the same as you, he would have made a move you can try sitting next to him and just putting your hand on top of his, that worked for me or start by hugging him goodbye or hello

Go ahead and start stuff. Hold his hand. If he's gay then you're in a bit of a pickle though.
Youre 17 and your not allowed to date? You need to talk to your parents, but holding hands is no biggie,it doesnt even have to be with your bf.I hold hands with girls alot, its only really special if your massaging their hand as your walking or something, start with hugs and work your way up.
